Putting in My Share

Copy of How Do You See It

There are things that we encounter in our daily lives that somehow do not suit our desires or standards.  If we are faced with these circumstances, our normal reaction would be to whine or complain. We can easily draw up a list of negatives from what these occurrence bring.  In fact, what remains in our memory is the negative effects they had on us versus the positive.

Let me challenge you — have you ever asked yourself what can I do to make this world a better place?  We tend to expect other people, our family, our government to help us improve our lives. Little did we know that the change we have been yearning for starts from within.  Change starts with you. It begins with your decision and desire to make that change. John F. Kennedy aptly puts it when he said — “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

If we want change, we need to do our fair share.  We need to contribute something of good influence to the people around us.  We do not have to wait to be famous, richer, older, better, wiser or bigger to contribute to make that change.  Each one of us has a special role in making that change.

We cannot expect to make things better if we ourselves do not do our part.

What is your contribution in improving this world we live in?  Take time and think about it. If you have not done your part, it is time to start doing it now.
