Let Us Have a Good Laugh

Let's have a good laugh

Apart from loving, the second best thing this world can offer is laughter.  As they always say, laughter is the best medicine. In fact, in times when you feel like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed and you would meet a smiling person, for a moment, you could forget all your worries and that smile can brighten up your day.

I love to hang out with people with a good sense of humor.  It feels so good and light whenever I am with them. They possess a positive vibe and their happy aura is like a magnet that positively affects people.

Given the stress and pressures we all face every day, to see a leader with a good sense of humor is a great motivational factor.  To have a good sense of humor does not mean that things are not taken seriously. It is more of creating a stress free environment and defusing the tension and giving your team some peace of mind or breathing space in the midst of chaos.

Most of the time, when people are so pressured, they fail to look at the bigger picture.  Their minds are so focused on the problem. A leader with a good sense of humor can create a healthier and stress free work environment despite the difficult situation and enable to motivate the team by teaching them to maintain grace under pressure.  Lighting up the work environment yields better output. A good laugh now and then can help the team refocus and come up with a better approach to the problem.

A sense of humor is part of the art of leadership, of getting along with people, of getting things done.  — Dwight D. Eisenhower
