Journey To Your Dreams

Episode 2_ Journey to Your Dreams

A few weeks ago I was engaged in a conversation with a very good  friend. We exchanged personal stories about our respective careers and how far we have gone since our younger years.

Back then, we had so many dreams and aspirations – to be like this or to have this in the next ten years, and much more.  It is still very vivid to me that one of my dreams, then, was to be a pilot.

I did not become a pilot.  I do not navigate planes. But I am now a Leadership coach and a Motivational Speaker. who helps people navigate their lives in order to be successful.  It is amazing to realize that a number of our dreams have become a reality.  Some were not how we envisioned them to be, but, interestingly, they served the same purpose.

People often say, it is free to dream, so why not dream high.  Yes, it is free to dream, but fulfilling that dream is never a piece of cake. As said, nothing good comes easy, and that is the reality.

The bigger the dream, the tougher the journey.  You have to work your way up to see the fulfillment of your dreams.  There will be bumps and humps along the way. These are the ones that will make the journey more exciting and meaningful.

Your dreams can just be a stone throw away, then suddenly, a voice within would whisper, you cannot do it!  Give it up!

Shrug it off.  Do not give in to this voice.  Rather, be motivated to push harder and pursue your dreams.

The sweetest victory is yours, seeing your million dreams turn into reality.

Back in 2009, there was a popular song known as “The Climb”.  What caught my attention to this song are these words:

The struggles I’m facing

The chances I’m taking

Sometimes might knock me down but

No I’m not breaking

I may not know it

But these are the moments that

I’m going to remember most

Just got to keep going

Continue dreaming but never let your dreams sleep.  Never give up on Success.  That makes a leader.  I consider it a fulfillment to see the people I journey with realize their dreams.

Do not underestimate the power of your dreams. If you want to be a leader, work on it.  Pursue it. Achieve it.  Then, inspire others.

At the end of the day, give yourself a pat on the shoulder and say – Mission accomplished!  Good job
