The Waiting Game

The Waiting Game

It is a brand new year.  The perfect time to map out our life’s plans and vision for the new year.  I have a lot on my plate for this new year. I have been planning since last year and I eagerly await the perfect time for me to launch these plans.

However, the irony of life is, no matter how much planning we make, sometimes the odds are against us and despite our preparations and planning, things will still not push through.

I am pretty sure most of us have encountered such an experience.  We devote so much time to preparing and planning something. We give all our efforts because we believe this is THE thing we have been praying for.  Every detail we give special attention to because we want it to be a success. Just when we thought we are all systems go, something would come up that would hold the horses and make us pause.  A person or a circumstance would dictate to us that we need to have a second look at things before we give it a go. It is not yet the “right time.”

It is not easy to simply say yes to the waiting period.  Definitely there may be some resistance because our mind dictates we want to give it a go, but the things or people around us dictate otherwise.  Simply trust and believe that the delay is for the best. Have this mindset and you will be amazed at the results.

Waiting is not easy.  However, if we wait with a positive outlook, knowing and firmly believing that the perfect and right time will come for things to just fall into their proper places, then the waiting is turned into a period of rest. A time to re-energize and prepare yourself for the big launch.

“If you are going to devote your time to do something you claim you love, take this thought; “am I ready now? When can I begin and have it done without giving up?” This is preparation.”Israelmore Ayivor
