Footprint or Butt Print

Footprints or Butt Prints

If things do not turn out the way we want them to, the tendency is to whine.  We complain and question ourselves and even God, “why is my life like this?”

What people tend to overlook is, the life they are living now is not just a product of the surrounding circumstances, but a result of their actions or should I say “no-action.”

Leaders always have a bias towards action.  Their actions make them who they are — leaders in their respective fields.

A person of action is someone who is always moving forward.  They leave footprints in the sands of time.  You can tell where they have been and where they have made a difference.  Their actions enable them to leave a legacy.  A mark that can be passed on from generation to generation.

However, there are people who would rather be idle and just sit and wait for things to happen.  Wait for the grace from heaven to fall down on their laps.  Instead of footprints, these people leave butt prints.

What kind of mark do you want to leave — a footprint or a butt print?  I have made my choice.  I will continue to leave my footprints in the sand with the hopes that it is not just my footprints that will be  there, but a multitude of footprints all walking towards a common goal.
