Know What You Want

Know What You Want

One of the most common signs of aging is a blurry vision.  Those in their 40s and beyond experience difficulty in reading or seeing things.  They fail to have a clear view of things and sometimes feel frustrated when they do not have clarity of the things in front of them. They fail to appreciate the beauty around them,  everything seems to be hazy.

Let us put this scenario in a bigger perspective.  What do you think life would be if you do not have a clear picture of where you want to go and what you want to achieve?  Chaotic I would say. It is like going on a trip and you do not really know where you are heading.

We all have goals and aspirations for ourselves, our family and for our community. However, these goals would be futile if we do not have a clear direction on how we want to achieve them.  We need to be clear and specific on the course of action we need to take in order to bring us a step closer to our goal. It does not matter if we are moving on a pace of inch by inch. What is more important is that we are moving.

Clarity is very important to a leader.  As a leader, it is imperative to know and understand what you want to achieve and lead others towards reaching that goal.

We live in a complex and challenging world.  So much around us is beyond our control. However, if we know what we truly want in life, no matter how complex things are, we can simplify them.  Our desire and focus to reach our goals will be the light to our path. All we have to do is know what we want and work towards it.
